Uploading documents is super easy in the Prickly2sweet system in Step 2 of the review process. Sometimes however there are reasons for the system NOT to accept a document for upload. What happens in these situations is the system will not pop the document into the step-to-section. Don't stress and make sure you DON'T try and do another review. If this happens to you here are some of the reasons it might be occurring:
1 The incorrect format – the system accepts PDF and DOCX
formats
2 The document is too big – the system accepts documents that are less
than 1000KB, you can reduce the size of the documents by changing a word document to a readable
PDF, removing pictures, removing backgrounds
3 It uploads but does have any data or fragments of content in
the tagging section – the document could be locked for security or it is an
unreadable PDF, meaning it is a scan or picture rather than content.
How to fix these issues
If the document is too big then remove pictures,
If it is the wrong format - change the format. Changing the format may also reduce the size ( from a word to a pdf)
System timeout - make sure you clear your cache and remove all your cookies on your system and try again to upload
Making the documents more accessible
We get it, having pictures in an assessment makes it easier to read for some however if you have to remove the pictures then you can make your document more accessible. Here is how - write the content of the picture as a replacement of the picture and you can use this for the alternative text (attached to the picture) to increase your accessibility of the tool for those who have visual impairment. Content of the picture is the description of the picture, this way you can have the content of the picture to be read by the system AND make it more accessible for other systems you might have the document.
